"Other Birds" - Volusia Reads Together Program
The Volusia County Public Library will celebrate this year’s Volusia Reads Together program with “Other Birds” by Sarah Addison Allen from March 8 to April 13. This community reading celebration, which includes a range of related events and activities for residents of all ages, is dedicated to creating a shared conversation and sparking many book discussions.
The 14 library branches will host a series of events with many diverse programs related to the fanciful and popular novel. Additionally, the Little Theatre of New Smyrna Beach and Port Orange Regional Library will host performances of an original play, “Outfox,” written and directed by library employee Karen Poulsen.
Program booklets, which will be available in all 14 branches, will include a list of over 100 programs, including community book discussions, film screenings, exhibits, crafts, music programs, games, and many other engaging programs.
