The Volusia County Sheriff's Office has arrested 20-year-old Marquel K. Kirk of Lymestone Court in New Smyrna Beach on 33 charges related to the possession of child pornography. The arrest came after a thorough investigation conducted by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office Child Exploitation Unit, prompted by a CyberTip provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Following the issuance of a search warrant, detectives meticulously combed through Kirk's electronic devices, uncovering explicit videos that depicted the sexual abuse of victims ranging in age from infancy to 10 years old. The disturbing content discovered during the investigation has raised concerns about the extent of the alleged offenses.
Currently held at the Volusia County Branch Jail, Kirk faces a total bond of $330,000.
Law enforcement agencies are urging anyone with information related to potential cases of child sexual abuse to the Sheriff's Office, Child Exploitation Unit at 386-323-3574.
