According to a release from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, a Port Orange man is in custody on charges of sexually battering two children.
Christopher H. Zinck, 24, was arrested by Port Orange Police Department late Wednesday night at his apartment off Orange Boulevard.
The investigation began on Zinck earlier in the year, leading to a warrant on his arrest.
It has been reported that the victims, two girls 11 and 14-years-old, told detectives that Zinck sexually abused them multiple times at multiple locations for more than a year. Zinck was well known to the victims, and the abuse occurred while he was entrusted with the girl's care, and they were alone.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are requesting anyone with information about additional victims to contact the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office Child Exploitation Unit at (376) 323-3574.
Zinck is currently in custody at the Volusia County Branch Jail on a $1 million bond.
