In a heartening demonstration of holiday generosity, the Technical Rescue Team of Volusia County Fire Rescue (VCFR) will embark on a festive mission at Halifax Health.
Dressed as beloved holiday characters such as Santa Claus and the Grinch, the team will rappel down the walls of the pediatric unit, spreading joy to children and their families. The enchanting event will commence at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 22, at Halifax Health at 303 N. Clyde Morris Boulevard in Daytona Beach.
"This event is an exceptional opportunity for us to connect with the community in a lighthearted and spirited way. Each year, the smiles on the children's faces are just as big on our firefighters that look forward to this," said Volusia County Fire Rescue Chief Joe King.
