Volusia County Launches Social Services App
Do you need help finding social service agencies in Volusia County? There’s now an app for that!
Volusia County has created Volusia Helps, a free app that provides up-to-date information in the palm of your hand. The app can help residents, social service providers, law enforcement, and medical professionals easily find needed resources.
Users can search what they are looking for, or they can select one of 13 categories and view all services within that category. Categories include disability, disaster, domestic violence, education, elderly, food, health care, housing, infant and children, legal, transportation, utilities and other. Information for each of more than 50 agencies includes how to apply, fees, languages, hours, locations, and contact information.
The app can be downloaded on Apple and Android devices. Those who prefer to use a computer can visit https://vcservices.vcgov.org/VolusiaHelps for information.
For assistance or questions regarding the app, contact Community Services Operations Manager Corry Brown at cabrown@volusia.org.
