Event Description

MLB Pitch, Hit & Run provides youngsters across the country an opportunity to participate in an exciting baseball/softball skills competition. This national initiative gives boys and girls, ages 7-14, the chance to showcase their pitching, hitting and running abilities. Pitch, Hit & Run is intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the "FUN" element of baseball/softball. Age divisions are as followed: ages 7/8 (July 18, 2010 - July 17, 2012) ages 9/10 (July 18, 2008 - July 17, 2010) ages 11/12 (July 18, 2006 - July 17, 2008) ages 13/14 (July 18, 2004 - July 17, 2006).

MLB Jr. Homerun Derby is a new program under the Play Ball initiative a collaborative initiative between the MLB, USA Baseball and USA Softball. Jr. Homerun Derby age division are: 12U (born on or after July 18, 2006) and 14U (Born between July 18, 2004 - July 17, 2006) for both boys and girls.
