Guy Harvey to Headline Fifth Annual ONE DAYTONA Art Festival Weekend

Marine wildlife artist Guy Harvey will be headlining the fifth edition of the annual ONE DAYTONA Art Festival, scheduled for April 6 and 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The award-winning festival is a free event welcoming residents and visitors to experience a weekend of art, shopping, and entertainment.

The ONE DAYTONA Art Festival offers an opportunity for local and visiting collectors to experience culture and refinement over the course of two days with high-end artists, crafters, live art at Gallery500, and cash prizes for winning artists.  Featuring juried fine artists and non-juried fine craft artisans, the ONE DAYTONA Art Festival in partnership with Gallery500 is held at the ONE DAYTONA lifestyle and entertainment destination.

In an exciting addition to this year’s lineup, attendees will have the opportunity to meet world renowned marine wildlife artist, Guy Harvey, Saturday, April 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gallery500. Harvey’s

natural skills for recreating marine life on canvas have launched his works into the public eye, earning him numerous awards and exhibitions but his original career path was in the scientific realm, as a Doctor of Fisheries Management.

“The ONE DAYTONA Art Festival is celebrating its fifth anniversary and we’re proud to have such a great lineup of local, national and international artists joining us for this important milestone event,” said Roxanne Ribakoff, president of ONE

DAYTONA. “We invite locals and visitors to join us for an exciting weekend filled with several new experiences this year.”

Further enhancing the festival experience, this year will offer guests the opportunity to test their painting skills by attending one of Bob Ross Painting’s workshops. The classes will be held on Saturday, April 6 at 2 p.m. and Sunday, April 7 at 11 a.m. The cost is $75, including all materials. Space is limited; those interested are encouraged to sign up by visiting: https://danwillcoxart.com/classes.

Amidst the artistic fervor, music is another element that will be present at this year’s event. For the first time, Classern Quartet will be live on Victory Circle Stage Sunday, April 7 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This is a free performance that combines the elegant virtuosity of a traditional string quartet with the energy and passion of a modern pop/rock band.

Several new and returning artists will also participate in the ONE DAYTONA Art Festival. Deborah Berry, a liquid photographer and Dallas Primavera, a mixed media artist, will return to exhibit their work.
