New efforts have been put into place throughout the County with help from County Officials and its Partner Agencies to combat the spread of Covid-19.

Daytona Beach Airport has installed additional hand sanitation stations throughout the terminals. Individual travel-sized hand sanitizers will be distributed to passengers as they board their flight.

Airport officials have asked staff to attend to high touchpoint surfaces like handrails, tabletops and elevator buttons more closely, and disinfect the areas regularly. All soap dispensers will be kept full.

Library services will continue to follow guidelines set out by the Health Department, as to reduce the spread of Hepatitis A, to combat COVID-19. Hand Sanitizer is available at all public se4rvice desks. Staff will be disinfecting public access computers, keyboards, and the accompanying mouse daily, all children’s area toys, and sensory boards will be disinfected once a week, and bathrooms, solid surfaces, tables, counters, and doorknobs are cleaned nightly.

The Ocean Center will be reaming open and operational, but any event cancellations will be solely at the discretion of the event organizer. There will be hand sanitizer stations throughout the venue at entrances, lobbies, and elevator/escalator landings.

Early voting sites will have election staff routinely sanitize all materials and voting machines, and voters may bring their blue or black pen if they choose. All sites will have hand sanitizer available, and staff will. Be following precautionary measures on voting day on Tuesday, March 17.

County officials will be working with the Florida Department of Health daily. Anyone with questions should call the FDOH COVID-19 Call Center at 866-779-6121. The call center is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
